Welcome
Pack 296 is part of the Steel City District in the Laurel Highlands Council, Boy Scouts of America. Our chartering organization is St. Sylvester Roman Catholic Church located at 3754 Brownsville Road. Our Pack Cub Scout Pack 296 is open to boys ages six through ten in grades one through five. We meet on Thursday’s at St. Sylvester Church Hall (except for the first week of the month). Our Activities Cub Scouting means "doing." Everything in Cub Scouting is designed to have the boys doing things. Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting—citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. We have both indoor and outdoor activities. Most of these activities happen at the weekly den meetings and the monthly pack meetings. Apart from the fun and excitement of Cub Scout activities, the Cub Scout Promise, the Law of the Pack, and the Cub Scout sign, handshake, motto, and salute all teach good citizenship and contribute to a boy's sense of belonging. |
